EcoFlow for campervans: brand review

EcoFlow is one of the strongest brands for full-time vanlife, thanks to expandable systems, quick charging and high output across the DELTA range.

The lineup at a glance

EcoFlow splits into two families. The RIVER range covers small, portable units ideal for weekend and simple builds. The DELTA range is bigger, higher-output and expandable, suited to full-time vanlife and heavier use. Serious van builders usually land on a DELTA unit with one or more add-on batteries.

What we like

• Expandability: add-on batteries let you grow capacity without replacing the core unit.
• Fast, flexible charging: AC, solar and DC-DC alternator input, often among the fastest in class.
• High output and surge: X-Boost handles larger appliances than the rated wattage suggests.
• Mature app control: monitor and control from your phone.

Watch points

• More features means more to learn, so expect a slightly steeper start than a pure plug-and-play brand.
• Premium pricing on the larger DELTA units.

Model testing: we are measuring usable capacity and charge speed across the RIVER and DELTA ranges and will add verified results as each unit is tested.
